In the Reign of Mary apostolate, we received the desperate message of a mother in Argentina:
“I want to take my own life.”
Her life was in complete turmoil. Alone in caring for her household and without stable work, she carried the pain of one son admitted to rehabilitation for drug addiction and the anguish of another son, plunged into deep depression, who had been falsely accused of abuse by a young woman seeking revenge after being rejected by him.
Given the seriousness of her message, we called her immediately. We were able to calm her, and from that moment on, we began to accompany her continually.
The true change began when she surrendered herself with trust into the hands of the Virgin Mary. She clung to the daily prayer of the Holy Rosary and developed a deep love for the Blessed Virgin. Little by little, divine grace began to restore order to her home, and her family gradually started to overcome their difficulties.
Some time later, with a transformed heart, she told us with complete certainty:
“The Virgin Mary saved my life.”
This case reminds us that no matter how great the storm may be, Mary never abandons those who seek her help.
